Seasonal Wedding Colors

At The Estate, one of the leading event venues in Atlanta, we host elegant weddings year-round so we see how wedding colors can be used to make the most of any season. Here are some tips for themes that help celebrate the season as you celebrate your special day.

Winter (December, January, February)

When it’s cold and snowy outside, why not choose a color scheme that is warm and inviting? Deep reds, blues, greens or purples are popular winter wedding colors. Metallic accents also add a festive, elegant touch to whatever colors you choose.

If you are considering a December wedding, you can incorporate deep, elegant reds with brilliant white accents. Or as a festive nod to winter, use different hues of white with subtle pops of color throughout.

If you have a Valentine’s Day wedding in mind, red, pink or white colors are always popular. For a unique aspect, you can also include rustic touches with wooden tables and centerpieces, or linen accents.

Spring (March, April, May)

This is the time of year when many brides choose pastels like lavender, pink, sea green, pale blue or yellow. For those brides who want to introduce bolder colors,  you can choose dominant hues of orange or red with subtle greens and hues of white. You can even consider using flowers like roses, calla lilies or dahlias to make the colors pop while remaining elegant.

Another fun, yet sophisticated theme to consider for a beautiful spring wedding is to mix varying hues of purples and blues with white accents. Also, no bride should discount the immeasurable value that blooming branches can add to a lush, spring setting.

Summer (June, July, August)

Just about anything goes for a summer wedding, which is probably why these three months pack the most wedding dates at our wedding venue in Atlanta. Some brides draw inspiration from the vibrant yellow of sunflowers, adding elements of bright red, green and white or silver. Other brides stick to simple elegance, using green and white, infusing subtle accents of pale yellow or brown.

For bolder brides, bright or subtle blue with yellow, lavender, orange, pink or silver is an excellent way to show off the colors of the season.

Autumn (September, October, November)

Autumn weddings can be truly magical at Atlanta venues like The Estate. You can carry the theme of the season throughout your wedding, from the invitations to the wedding favors.

Pumpkin orange, hunter green, rich browns and burgundy make beautiful Autumn wedding color palettes. At The Estate, Autumn is one of the most charming times of the year. Fall fruits and vegetables make beautiful decorations, as well as additions to the menu. Our décor team can help you turn your Autumn wedding into an intimate event filled with cozy touches like apple cider and s’mores.

If you are getting married in October, you may choose colors that blend with the changing of the leaves like bright reds, oranges and yellows. Even centerpieces or decorations with sprigs, vines, branches or leaves can make a big impression on your guests. A wedding, with rich purples and a few pops of orange throughout can also be a subtle nod to the season.

As the premier wedding venue in Atlanta, no matter what season or color scheme you select, we can work with you to design an event that will be better than you ever imagined.
